What about Crucial M500? This one is the newer SDD and supposed to be an upgrade to M4. There are four different capacities with 120GB as the smallest and 960GB as the largest capacities. Made to be more advanced in its class, Crucial M500 is said to be significantly faster than its predecessor.

Now, to the main event of the comparison: which one is better? When the M4 and M500 are being compared next to each other, there will be no doubt about the newer M500 exceeding the performance of the older M4 albeit just by a small margin. Despite of that, M500 actually failed to meet expectations of many people. Crucial M4 is one of the most solid SSD to be found out there. Checking the performance as well as other details such as price, Crucial M500 is the one considered as better now. The older Crucial M4 is left behind despite being more solid and better in many aspects. Still, this doesn’t change the fact that M500 is made to be fancier upgrade with larger capacities and faster capabilities.
